Statement about Protecting our Youth

Office of Youth & Young Adult Formation

Camper Welfare

The first responsibility of each and every staff member is the health and welfare of the campers.  Each staff member is required to take care to protect the privacy and person of each camper.   Staff are required to follow State Law and Diocesan Policy in the area of Child Abuse Reporting.  Inappropriate verbal, physical, or sexual conduct will not be tolerated by any staff member, camper, or person on the grounds.  Any allegation of misconduct against any person, will be reported to Child Protection Services as required by law.

The protection of the dignity of the human person is the

primary responsibility of the camp administration & staff member.

To this end, the Outpost has in place policies and procedures which safeguard and protect the children in our care.  The Outpost is a member of the American Camping Association and is an accredited camp.  Accreditation is a recognition of a camp's ongoing compliance with professional standards that ensure youth protection.  The Outpost has pro-active educational, procedural, and administrative standards which address youth protection.

If you have any question about the policies or procedures regarding the protection of youth at the Outpost youth camp, please do contact:
