No generation has seen the technological innovation experienced by the young Church today. Text messages, Facebook, Twitter, Skype and a variety of other technologies connect you to your friends in ways your parents, and certainly your grandparents, can't understand. So, when someone you went to third grade with can reach you immediately, why can't God? When a 1,000 people are immediately updated on your Facebook status, why does it often seem that God has no idea when you're hurting? No one can give you all the answers about how God reaches out to you, but when technology seems to over-run your life, there is an "app" than can help.

Join Bishop Charles Thompson, speaker Chris Stefanick, and a few hundred high school youth from around the Diocese of Evansville on Sunday, September 18th at the Catholic Center as we try to find a balance between all the things that are a part of everyday life and our relationship with God. There are ways to balance our highly technological lives with God's call as members of the Church. Yeah, there's an "app" for that.

Call your Youth Minister, Campus Minister, or DRE to get on the list for Diocesan Youth Rally 2011. There will be plenty of food, inflatable games, volleyball, cornhole, music, and fun. Bishop Thompson will be celebrating Mass, and this will be the first chance for many of us to see our new Bishop in action. Chris Stefanick will be joining us from Denver, Colorado--If you've never heard Chris sing and talk before, you've got to join us on September 18th! Diocesan Youth Rally will begin with on-site registration at 1:00pm CDT. Inflatables, games, food, and music will be available to participants while a group coordinator "checks in." Each participant must have a Diocesan Waiver/Permission Form completed in advance; however, these forms do not need to be submitted until the day of the event.

Deadline for registration and receipt of the $10/person registration fee is September 2nd. Please send a list of the names of each participant from your parish, organization, or group, and mail this along with the registration fees to:
