Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry of the Diocese of Evansville.
The Diocesan Youth Leadership Team (DYLT) is comprised of youth, primarily high school aged, who act as an advisory committee to help plan events, examine ministries, and establish policies that allow the diocese to tailor programming to the needs and desires of other youth. The team meets on a monthly basis at alternating locations across the diocese. Members also act as ambassadors between their parish and the diocese so that local concerns can be addressed at a diocesan level. It is a great way for you to directly impact what takes place within the diocese.
NEXT MEETING: Sunday, May 5th, 1:00-3:00 CT (2:00-4:00 ET)
WHERE: Catholic Center, Evansville (4200 N. Kentucky Ave.)
The Diocese of Evansville will attend the largest gathering of Catholic youth in the United States again in 2013! The National Catholic Youth Conference will take place in Indianapolis, November 21-23. This year's theme is "Signed. Sealed. Delivered."
The three-day event has been described by youth, priests, and other adults as "faith-filled," "action-packed," and, of course, "fun!" Participants enjoy some of the most amazing liturgies and prayer experiences during NCYC, and there are daily opportunities to hear the top Catholic musicians and speakers in the U.S.!
It can be difficult to hear God's voice speaking to us today. Let's help each other by pointing out how God might be calling our friends, family members and fellow parishioners to consider a call to the priesthood or religious life. Go online and submit the name of an individual between the ages of 15 & 45 whom you think would make a good priest or religious brother or sister. Check out the website: www.StationForVocations.org. Follow the 'Called by Name' link to make your submission and to tell us why you think that individual would make a good priest or religious. This program is sponsored by the Diocese of Evansville Vocation Office.
