Nominations for the 2009 Saint Maria Goretti Youth Distinction are now closed:

The 2009 Saint Maria Goretti Parish Youth Distinction
 Catholic Diocese of Evansville
 Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry

 

When will the Distinction be conferred?  The Maria Goretti Youth Distinction will be conferred at Holy Rosary Parish in Evansville on February 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm Central/2:00 pm Eastern.  Please RSVP to Cathy Crowdus at (800) 637-1731 or ccrowdus@evansville-diocese.org.  Priests wishing to concelebrate and deacons wishing to vest should RSVP to Matt Miller at mmiller@evansville-diocese.org.  Family members are encouraged to attend both the recognition ceremony and the banquet that follows.

 

It is highly encouraged that parishes also recognize their recipients at a parish Mass on another date.  Some parishes have created permanent plaques to honor past recipients.  As this distinction is the highest honor conferred on youth in the Diocese of Evansville, continued parish recognition is recommended.
