The Office of Stewardship and Development oversees and conducts local
and diocesan fund raising and parish stewardship conversion programs.
The OSD helps to clarify the financial and organizational
needs of the entities
that constitute the Catholic Diocese of Evansville and assists in
identifying and cultivating people and resources to meet those needs.
Among other duties and activities, the OSD is responsible for
the
annual Catholic Parishes Campaign
and the Brute Society.
One of the "quiet" services of the Office of Stewardship & Development
is assisting parishes and other diocesan entities with capital campaigns.
During the decade of the 1990's, for example, the OSD provided
campaign leadership and training for parish campaigns which
raised more than $60,000,000.
