The Diocese of Evansville seeks an energetic and inspiring Director of Catechesis.
The Director of the Office of Catechesis is responsible for continuing the mission of Jesus Christ
through catechesis and evangelization throughout the diocese.  This includes supporting a vision that
encourages parishes to provide quality catechetical programs for all parishioners in keeping with
the latest church documents, norms and directives. Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

*Fully participating and practicing Catholic
*Advanced degree in theology, religious education or related field
*Five years of successful experience in Parish Catechetical Ministry and an awareness of diocesan needs and objectives
*Strong organizational, managerial and interpersonal skills that inspire confidence among Ordained, Religious,
Catechetical Leaders, and other diocesan groups.

St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Daylight, Indiana
is seeking a part-time music director.
     Responsible for training and recruiting for adult and children's choirs.
-Adult choir sings and practices two times a month.
-Proposed children's choir will sing and practice two times a month.
     Planning for weekend liturgies, major feasts, and special liturgies. 
Schedule organists and cantors.
Train cantors and prepare practice tapes if needed.
 Research appropriate music for the sacred liturgy within guidelines of the Catholic Church.
Work with music for proposed Vacation Bible School.
Attend liturgy/music workshops.  This would be at our expense if at our request.
Work with other musicians for Christmas and Easter liturgies.
Meet monthly with the liturgy committee for concerns and comments from the parish and both choirs.
Be available to play and cantor at the different Masses.

 highly motivated individual for the position of Parish Director of Youth Ministry. Saint John the Evangelist
is an exemplary and growing parish of over 600 families that is committed to preparing our youth to be
good Catholic Christian leaders in the world.   

The successful candidate will be able to develop and coordinate comprehensive youth ministry in a single
parish environment.  He/She will be responsible for the identification, training, and support of parish
leadership teams of adults and youth who will implement the three goals and eight components
of youth ministry published in Renewing the Vision:  A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry.  USCCB, 1997.

 Applicant must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.  He/She must be formed in the
Catholic theological tradition and be knowledgeable in Sacred Scripture, Christology, Ecclesiology,
Catholic Doctrine, Sacramental and Moral Theology.

 M.A. in Theology, Ministry or Religious Studies preferred; however, experience will be weighed accordingly. 
Three years experience in Catholic youth, young adult or campus ministry preferred.
