Evansville West

Tours of the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto at St. Boniface will be
conducted on the Sundays of May from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Grotto
was constructed under the church in 1914; the interior is concrete
with stucco effect covered with mica, the altar is marble imported
from France. The statues of Mary and Bernadette are life size and
the nearby trickling of water is suggestive of the famous spring at
Lourdes. At the time of construction the Evansville Journal reported
that “there are but three or four in the United States and this will
probably be the best.” Tours are FREE. St. Boniface Church is
located at 418 North Wabash Avenue on the westside of Evansville.

CL Evansville (Communion and Liberation) is a Young Adult Group that
meets weekly every Monday Night at St. Joe in the City at 6:30 PM.  This
group comes together for community, spiritual enhancement and service.
In CL -We learn to perceive the sense of the Mystery, upon which our
life depends, and to live the Catholic faith through a companionship
within everyday life. Community life is built through the "School of
Community", a weekly meeting with study and discussion about a text.
The text communicates the experience of Father Giussani's charism in a
systematic form that helps us judge our lives and the life of the Church
